Ohio Department of Education and OHSAA Coach Certification
Notes & Facts:
All PAID and VOLUNTEER Coaches are required to obtain a Pupil Activity Permit through the Ohio Department of Education to work with, supervise or coach student athletes in Ohio.
ALL Paid and Volunteer Coaches are bound by all regulations of the OHSAA.
Process:

Complete the Coaches' Tool Chest (Click for Link)

Go to Central Office (5175 Emerald Parkway) for a background check (FBIand BCI)

If this is a paid position, the cost is $48.00 and must be paid with exact cash or check made out to “Dublin City Schools”

Please bring your photo ID and social security card or passport to your appointment.

If you have completed a background check within the last 12 months, it was sent electronically to ODE, and can provide a hard copy of the results to Human Resources you will not need to complete a background check.
