Ethan Tyack scored 11 seconds into the game and the Rocks set the tone early against cross town rival Upper Arlington. Coffman outshot UA 23-6 in the first half in building a 9-2 lead. The Rocks played a well rounded game on both sides of the ball and in the faceoff circle. On offense Nick Harris scored on 4 of his first 5 shots. Ethan Tyack also scored a goal as time was running out in the third quarter to give him three goals on the night and he added a team high 4 assists. Evan James put on a show in the second half and wound up finding the back of the net 6 times. Hassan Radda, Will Hunter and Peter Tyack also contributed a goal each for the Rocks. The defense long poles led by Seniors Zack Kasun and Troy McConnaughey, along with Junior Presley Mossman held the UA offense in check, limiting them to 14 shots on the night and creating numerous caused turnovers. The team hustled hard to help Coffman beat UA in ground balls 28-12. LSM Jackson Vanderstoop also played a stellar defensive game with 3 ground balls and a caused turnover on the night. Wyatt Bartlett continued a strong year in the faceoff circle by winning 13 of 23 faceoffs. The win earned the Rocks the outright OCC title. It will be the battle of the undefeated teams as the Rocks play host to Brother Rice (ranked #6 in the country and #1 in Michigan) on Saturday at 4:00. Go Rocks!!!
