Cal Haefke hits and pitches Dublin Coffman to 10-3 victory

Cal Haefke was strong at the plate and on the hill in carrying Dublin Coffman to a 10-3 victory over Thomas Worthington on Wednesday.
Haefke racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rocks. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Thomas Worthington couldn’t get anything going as long as Haefke was on the mound. Thomas Worthington managed just two hits off of the Dublin Coffman pitcher, who allowed two earned runs, walked three and struck out none during his five innings of work.
Coffman beat Thomas Worthington thanks to 11 hits, including one extra base hits. Dublin Coffman scored three runs in the fifth on Dublin Coffman scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Timmy Barley and a two-run single by Jacob Fouche.
Brady Roesch was charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
The lead stayed with Dublin after the first, when it scored three runs on a fielder’s choice and an RBI single by Barley.
Coffman increased its lead with two runs in the second. Haefke started the inning with a double, plating Evan Grootenhuis. That was followed up by CJ Saunders‘s single, bringing home Haefke.
Dublin Coffman pushed across one run in both the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, Coffman scored on an RBI single by Haefke, scoring Barley.
