This weekend Abby Steiner broke both (her own) state and state meet records in the 100 and 200 prelims, then again in the finals, where she clocked an 11.38 and a 22.73. The 22.73 is #2 in the nation this year and ranks her #6 all time for high school girls. Isabelle Angerman ran a 42.93 for second place. These two put Coffman in 4th place as a team with 28 points.
On the boys side the scoring started with Derek Van Vlerah taking 4th in the high jump with a leap of 6’6”. Then Lucas Bons took second in the 1600 run with a 4:09.25 clocking. He came back to join the 4×400 relay teammates Ricky Pinney, Kevin Sabath and Jameel Williamson for 5th place in 3:20.69. This put the Rocks in 14th place overall.
