Junior Seth Shumate captured his second 195lbs. OHSAA state title. Seth pinned his opponent in the first period to earn the 195 lbs. weight class championship. Shumate won the same title his freshman season but did not have the opportunity to repeat as a sophomore since the event was canceled. His Freshman year he completed the season with a (50-1) record. His only loss was to an out of state opponent. His Sophomore season was cut short but not before he posted a record of (43-0). This season Seth finished the season (30-1). His one loss was a result of an injury in a match he was winning. So in three seasons, Seth has compiled a record of (123-2). We all look forward to Seth’s senior season.
Congrats Seth!
